Today's leg from Chapala, on the shores of Lake Chapala — Mexico's largest lake, north of Guadalajara — heading to Mexico City. We left a bit late, which is a mistake at these latitudes: thermals build early over the Mexican cordilleras, and we paid the price. A bumpy, tiring flight — but we arrived in good shape.

At 11,500 ft, oxygen is on. The Dynamic is in its element.

On Tuesday April 7th, a stopover at San Felipe with a great climb and one night on the ground. Yesterday, a maintenance check in Chapala with Ramon Veran, a local mechanic — competent, perfectly English-speaking, efficient. He performed several adjustments and replaced the EGT probe. A genuinely warm encounter. We'll likely see him again on the way back north.

Mexico City ahead. More from the ground soon.
